Gom identifies areas to be addressed for the regularization of unauthorized colonies

In its first meeting, the GoM, constituted to address the issue of unauthorised colonies, identified the problem areas that need to be addressed for the regularisation of the unauthorised colonies.

The three-member GoM, headed by Urban Development Minister Rajkumar Chauhan, will again meet on next Monday.

According to sources the GoM discussed the issue at length and were found keen to regularise all the colonies which has 100 per cent built up area.

The issue that were unidentified were unauthorized colonies on ridge and forest land, unauthorized colonies having 10 per cent built up in 2002 and 50 per cent built up in 2008 eligible for regularization, unauthorized colonies on government land, sale/purchase may be allowed in unauthorized colonies, development work in urbanized villages, 30metre wide roads may be taken from over from MCD and handed over to PWD, ownership rights to be granted to the allotters of flats in resettlement colonies.
