The incident took place around 8 in the evening at their Company camp at Shilapara near Lalgarh. They deceased belong to ‘Bravo’ company of the forces 184 battalion deployed for anti-Naxal duties in the state. According to district Police Super P K Tripathy, the incident took place following a quarrel among the trio.

Apart from this, this incident is second in 12 days where CRPF personnel got involved in fratricidal killing of their own men.
