Friendly budget

 

 

Kudos to Arindam Chaudhuri for thinking delectably different about the budget (TSI, July 13-19), announced by Pranab da who has always excelled in his deliveries in whatever portfolios he has been destined to hold! When a few years ago, the entire nation rushed to hail a budget announced by P Chidambaram as the dream budget, I had an honest feeling that people have not understood the real meaning of what a dream budget is. I kept my hunch and anguish at a low key, fearing my loud thinking in that line might make people around me to call me a fool and name me an upstart. Today after witnessing what a dream budget really is, thanks to the aam aadmi budget announced by our seasoned Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, I feel elated at my wits and feel like shouting at the top of my voice, “This is the budget!” Thanks Arindam, for highlighting the real greatness of the budget which at last is the common-man friendly and not the rich industrialist prone.
