This refers to the heart touching editorial by Prof. Chaudhuri, (TSI, Nov 16-22), “Manu Sharma has been...". It has been rightly mentioned that Manu Sharma is a typical metaphor of discriminating and delayed judiciary. People have already seen evil, cynicism, callousness, greed and the power of money. Jessica was shot dead in a restaurant full of rich and powerful people. Because being a multimillionaire and having strong political legacy he possessed all the credentials to buy justice in his favour. He is one of several high-profile criminals brought to trial in India through media activism and people participation. His conviction is viewed as demonstrating the impact of the general public in correcting imbalances in the Indian legal process. It now came to the fore that the Delhi government allowed parole to Manu Sharma, citing the ill health of his mother but he was allegedly seen in a nightclub in Delhi. But public's strong reaction made Delhi government cancel his parole. Media persons deserve all appreciation to keep judiciary alive.
