Just a politician!

 

 

India has always thought of Indira Gandhi as some sort of superhuman. We never analysed her but placed only a one-sided picture. We need to have a balanced view and not let our thoughts get drowned in boastful praise. We never talked about her flaws, which were more serious than her merits. She created a pro-poor dynasty and let the poor take India for a ride. Indira Gandhi felt sorry only for the poor but never took efforts to understand why they were so. Today, 25 years later, the Congress is still campaigning with a pro-poor slogan. This legacy is dangerous and will affect India one day. Indira Gandhi had a great personality but we need to have a realistic view. If we keep praising her, we only lose focus. We have always associated the surname, Gandhi, with our system. We need to judge life with an open mind. Every Gandhi is not born to rule India and India was not Indira. India has to be more balanced instead of being mindless apple-polishers.
