The top three leftist political parties in the Czech Republic have agreed to form a coalition government after weeks of bitter uncertainty. The centre-left coalition has agreed to nominate the former finance minister as the next prime minister. The deal cleared the way for Bohuslav Sobotka, the head of the SDP, to lead the country marred by austerity measures.
