Former Doordarshan cameraman commits suicide

A former Doordarshan cameraman committed suicide by shooting himself on Tuesday morning. The incident took place in south Delhi’s Sidhartha Enclave.

Although police suspect it to be a case of suicide but in order to confirm the cause of death has sent the body for an autopsy. No suicide note was recovered from the room, which the cameraman Amarjeet had been using as an office.

65-year-old Amarjeet owns four flats in Sidhartha  Enclave. He has four sons who reside outside Delhi.

According to the police, neighbours heard gunshot sound and reached the spot and found him in a pool of blood.

Police was informed and Amarjeet was rushed to hospital where he was declared brought dead.
