Weightlifting Medal Streak

By day two, India had bagged 39 medals, including 20 gold, 13 silver and six bronzes in the Commonwealth Weightlifting Championships at Penang, Malaysia. The winning streak was opened by Deepak Lather who won a Gold and two Silvers in the Boys' 50 Kg category. Other Gold winners include T B C Lalchhanhima, Lalu Taku, Chandrika Tarafdar and Monalisha Somowal. India is represented by 41 weightlifters in three categories in the championship.
