Waheeda wins first Centenary Award

Waheeda Rehman has been awarded the first Centenary Award for Indian Film Personality of the Year at the IFFI 2013 in Goa. The award instituted to commemorate 100 years of Indian Cinema will be given annually to an outstanding film personality. A formal release said that the award “recognizes her prolific body of work through the film industry’s formative years”. The award carries a citation, a certificate, a medal, a shawl, and Rs 10 lakhs.
