Kudos to Arindam Chaudhuri who spelt a death blow on the pseudo economic- gurus of India, who feel that India has become the super powerhouse of wisdom, absolute knowledge and intellect. In his very thoughtfully drafted editorial Had Jessica been a Dalit, Ram Jethmalani would have had it easy, I feel this is the first time, a very transparent statement has come from a true economist and an intellect, willing to address the issues of people of oppressed classes to be allowed to walk on the roads of India, as fellow citizens with all respect. The atrocities committed on the family of Bhaiyyalal Bhotmange, a Dalit is just an example of unpardonable and inhuman atrocities committed against the oppressed. I only wonder why these caste fanatics refuse to accept that the moment they rape a Dalit woman, they too become a confirmed Dalit, not only with the mixing of their blood but by virtue of accepting her as an object, worthy of satiating their carnal pleasures, just like their own caste wives!
