Visited by a minimum of two million people every year, and housing a two kilometre stretch of an idyllic sheltered Tanjong beach, the popular island resort of Sentosa (meaning tranquillity in Malay) is home to South-East Asia’s largest music and dance festival, the ZoukOut Dance Festival – an outdoor sequel to the rocking, all-night gambol of the most famous nightclub of Singapore, the Zouk! Bringing together world’s best DJs, the festival gives not a reason for revellers to stop shaking their legs on myriad genres of music ranging from electronic to jazz and hip hop to retro. And add to this, the carnivalesque spirit, food stalls, mystic Mandala art centres, flea markets, costumed buskers and carnival rides will only keep you coming back for more! (9 – 10 December)
