Revving core competences The simple success mantra that companies are adopting is of focusing on their core competencies. Working in tune with this, cosmetic giant Revlon Inc. has successfully implemented plans to sell off some of its non-core Brazilian brands for about $104 million.

The deal has been sealed between Revlon and Hypermarcas SA, a diversified consumer products company based in Brazil. The cosmetic giant is looking forward to making its foothold stronger and expand its market reach through its core products across the globe.

Revlon has made inroads in various markets across the globe with its core products. The cosmetic business has seen a drastic change after the arrival of Revlon on the marketing. The move is strategically done to out do the competition and to have a better prospects world over. By selling off the non-core business it will definetly be able to cut down the cost and stream line the same into more profitable core business. With this move it would surely garner major market share in the Brazilian market.

The move is not one off as reportedly the company is planning to implement the same world over.

With this surely it has the chances of running the race to the top and establish its authority in every nook and corner of the globe.
