Respite from greenhouse blues!

 

 

In our developed world, transport and electricity consume maximum amount of energy. Both contribute heavily to the greenhouse emissions because of the fossil fuels they use. But, Isaac Berzin of Green Fuel Technologies in Cambridge, Massachusetts, is developing a way of producing bio-fuel from the noxious emissions of power plants.

The technology includes a plastic cylinder full of algae, which sucks the CO2 out of a power plant’s exhaust. The algae then can in turn be converted into bio-fuel.
