Downplaying each other for ‘betraying the state and its people’, the political leadership of state has started indulging in the business of mudslinging.
A day before, Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal had leveled serious allegations against former chief minister Surjit Singh Barnala and former Finance Minister and PPP chief Manpreet Singh Badal for misleading the people on the core issues of the state.
In a scratching attack, PPP chief on Friday stated that the Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal should be named as the ‘Chief Traitor of Punjab’ for not waiving off the state debt of Rupees 70,000 crore.
"Further his son and Deputy Chief Minister deserved to be called deputy chief traitor who is eagerly waiting to be heir of the throne of Chief Traitor," he said.
He further added that the greater act of betrayal in Punjab has been the increase in debt of the State so that all further generations live in absolute poverty. By this act the Akali Dal-BJP government has assured its name in history as the Chief traitors of the people.
