No respite from courts, Kanimozhi's family approach God

More the courts refuse the relief, more the temples and deities will be approached by the relatives of the famous atheist leader - Karunanidhi.

When DMK president Karunanidhi's Bangalore based daughter, Selvi, was spotted few days back in the famous Tirupathi Temple and nearby Kalahasti temple, she was very much conspicuous by her presence given the situation her Family is in.

While her sister Kanimozhi is struggling in Tihar Jail, a close relative Dayanidhi Maran, the Union Textile Minister also seem to be in trouble.

It was widely reported in the newspapers that Selvi performed a special Rahu-Kethu Sarpa Dosha puja at the famous Rahu Sthala at Kalahasti in Andra Pradesh. She requested the media gathered around not to take pictures of her while she is worship the Lord. The reports claimed that Kalanidhi Maran's wife, Kavery Kalanidhi, also accompanied her.

Selvi has always been in the front whenever there is trouble in family. When Maran brothers fell away from Karunanidhi, it was her efforts that finally brought peace. She was the main campaign manager of Papa Karunanidhi's election campaign in Tiruvarur where he romped home with 50,000 votes margin.

Though Karunanidhi is a staunch atheist, his family members are known to go to temples for worshiping. And at the time when the family is going through much evident troubles, they seek more divine intervention for relief. Few months before, Rajathi Ammal, wife of Karunanidhi and mother of Kanimozhi, was seen in Thirunallar, another temple famous for reducing Saturn's influence.
