Some movies are expected to be bad, but Kya Super Kool Hain Hum proves that there are movies worse than what you expect. Adi (Tusshar Kapoor) is a struggling actor and an avid believer in fate and the unknown. He falls in love with Simran (Neha Sharma) because an astrologer tells him that a girl whose name starts with ‘S’ will change his life for good. His friend and roommate Sid (Riteish Deshmukh) is an aspiring DJ who, after goofing up in a fashion show, falls in love with model Annu (Sarah Jane Dias). What follows is a series of unfunny jokes, forced comic situations and as seen in the prequel, X-rated jokes; only this time they are blatantly in-your-face.
There is no narrative whatsoever in the movie. It just relies on multiple situations thrown together. Riteish Deshmukh is the only guy who makes it, if at all, bearable. Tusshar Kapoor should take a lesson or two from Uday Chopra and proceed to something that will do justice to his existence. He is cringe-inducing in the romantic scenes and hideous in the dance sequences. The movie thrives on crude jokes and crass names. Anupam Kher, for instance, is Francis Marlo and his mother, Rose Mary Marlo. The dialogues are worse. At one point, Tusshar Kapoor says, “Meri life mein ring nahi, sirf suffering hai”. I rest my case.
