Killing test

 

 

The story ‘Humans or Guinea Pigs’ (TSI September 24, 2007) was head-whirling and heart-bleeding. It is inhuman and unbelievable that big pharmaceutical companies engage thousands of unsuspecting, innocent, poor people in developing countries for their cruel lab tests. That such large-scale crime against humanity is being tolerated and encouraged by the so-called civilised world is unimaginable! If profit at any cost is the modern philosophy of life in the capitalist world, what kind of a human relationship and civilisation can we expect in the years to come? Is it not an abominable violation of human rights perpetuated by rich companies? Can there be no punishment for them? No wonder, a very sensitive Hillary Clinton helplessly laments in her autobiography that even after 10 years of her relentless work for “Health for all Americans”, she has been a miserable failure! The whole world seems to be a conscious victim of the merciless conflict between the Greed of the 20 % against the Need of the 80 % humans that inhabit the earth.
