Cautioning against the use of pesticides to get more yields, Punjab agriculture minister on Tuesday appealed the farmers to go for organic farming.
"Organic farming would prove a boon for the state as it could also reduce increasing number of diseases through out the state," Sucha Singh Langah said in a release.
"Situation would become worse if our farmers did not stop using chemicals and pesticides to get more yields of crops," he said.
Langah said that with organic farming, farmers could get more earnings with less expenditure.
