Owes of the Kokata cricket fans continue during Champions League T-20 as well.

Almost one month back on the request of Kolkata Police the two matches of CLT-20, which were about to be held on Oct 1 in the Eden Garden, were shifted to Bengaluru. This decision was taken keeping in view the commencement of the biggest festival of the city - Durga Pooja - from the following day.

And now, all the matches of CLT20, which were scheduled to be played in Kolkata, have been moved from this city. This decision has been taken because of pending approval from the local authorities. The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) and the Champions League Twenty (CLT20) jointly took this decision.

“With regret and in the best interests of the tournament, CAB and CLT20 have reluctantly agreed to moving its four scheduled Group B matches from Eden Gardens due to the heavy rains that have deluged Kolkata,” said Jagmohan Dalmiya, the president of CAB.

Because of this development, the Group B matches on 25 and 27 September will now take place at Rajiv Gandhi International stadium in Hyderabad, while the match on September 29 involving Royal Challengers Banglore and team from the current qualifier will be played at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

“I hope we will have the chance to host the event in coming years,” added Dalmiya.

During World Cup also, India-England match was scheduled to be played in Kolkata but because of shoddy preparation it was shifted to Bengaluru. So, for Kolkata cricket fans it is a long wait and with each tournament it is getting longer.

Now they wait for the start of India-England series when on October 25  they will have the opportunity to witness a day night encounter at Eden and on 29th they may enjoy the only T-20 scheduled to be played in that series. But they will have to keep their fingers crossed because from the last two tournaments, at the last moment, Kolkata is loosing its hosting right in a very dramatic manner.
