Role of youth in politics

Thanks for such a bold & clear view of indian politics in editorial of 'The Sunday Indian' (TSI, Dec 8-14). It's clear that our politics needs more youth blood for change. It's time to sacrifice our self matter & ready for future role.

A new horizon

Prior to your advent on the editorial horizon of the print media in India, we had surfeit of innocuous editorials in goody-goody newspapers. One has heard about 'Hind Kesari' and 'Jugantar' as being instrumental in revolutionising the then society. Post independence, the fieriness of the Indian psyche has given way to a mealy-mouth diplomatist eager to please the powers. TSI appears to be of a different league. Let's see.

Right (to) vote

Now youth and all indians should know what is the value of their vote instead of wasting time in shouting, take that time to protect your country by right voting.

Collective irresponsibility

I agree with Prasoon Majumdar. It is our Collective Irresponsibility that emboldens the political class to be irresponsible with arrogance. Firstly, make voting compulsory in urban centres with fool proof voter list with penalty of higher tax on water energy etc, for not voting. We urbanites are hypocrates enjoying benefits of city life without doing our basic duty.

Start anew

We need to start new political party and contest in elections. we have to make awareness among people that why educated people become politicians. If one like this strong spark starts, it will get momentum in future. Jai Hind.
