Give more power to police
The editorial on judicial reforms is realistic and our legal fraternity should understand the problems of common man. Arindam has truly said that unless the police is given more power and time to investigate, proper witness protection, and freedom to choose prosecutor, merely speeding up to deliver verdict will not be fruitful.

Curb their pockets
Many many thanks to you for your editorial on the current austerity drive of the government. All the political leaders and bureaucrats should join hands to curb the superfluous expenditure with which all the departments are habituated so far. Millions of Indians are below the poverty line, the benefit of this drive should go to them. Thanks to Mrs. Sonia Gandhi and Mr. Pranab Mukharjee for their heartily support to this austerity drive.

Where will the money go?
I indeed agree with you on your views on austerity drive. But will the money saved out of this drive really be directed towards the underprivileged?

Be careful
Your editorial (Austerity drive...) is quite extraordinary. It is the real reflection of our political situation. You fearlessly write against some of the parliamentarians. Actually everybody has the information about these unfit fellows, but due to some compulsions they are still enjoying the power. It is the real tragedy for India. But they are not the only culprits. Sadly, all four pillars of our constitution are not working properly. I respect your views but it may cause problem for you. They may take motion against you.
