Former Saudi intelligence agency chief, Prince Turki al-Faisal, has advocated further terrorist activities in Syria by asking to dispatch further consignments of arms to rebels and militants fighting against Assad regime in Syria. He also expressed concerns that if the war continues for long it will affect Israel, something that Saudi Arabia does not want in the present scheme of things. Prince Turki al-Faisal was speaking to an American daily when he made the comments. He however conceded that the present ground situation was in the favour of Assad regime and there was no chance that it will be toppled. “You are facing al-Qaeda and its units in Syria. Volunteers from all over the world are in Syria. Therefore, if the war continues, it will not be limited to Syria,” he was reported as saying by The Washington Post.
