In your latest issue (TSI, Dec 15-21), the article on intelligence agencies deserves praise. Terrorist attacks in different parts of the country in the last couple of years clearly prove that these agencies should be revamped. Both RAW and CBI are government departments, so they remain entangled in red tape. I think they should be made autonomous bodies and detached from the tentacles of bureaucrates and politicians. As these departments are ruled by ministers and government officials, they hesitate in taking steps against them. We should not follow KGB, CIA, FBI or Mi 6 but function as per our conditions.
