An eye opener

 

 

The editorial (TSI, June 1-7) by Arindam Chaudhuri about the plight of the Tamilians in Sri Lanka was timely and appropriate. The Tamil civilians caught in the crossfire have been going without food and medicines in the refugee camps. Human rights activists are deeply concerned about the large number of missing Tamilians. But even after so much material evidence against the Lankan government, there has been no action on this front. As rightly pointed out in your editorial it is the duty of the Congress-led UPA government to ensure that the Lankan government provides the necessary relief to the embattled Tamilians.
