Racial attacks

 

 

The woes of the Indian students in Australia moved the heart of the Indians. But the article (TSI, June 15-21) unfolds the strange episode of unruly behaviour of the Indian students resulting in dire consequences. This kind of attitude is like throwing stones at others while staying in glass houses. The aspirant students should have the motto to build up their future in the ambience of the foreign land and accordingly they should express their gratitude to the people there. The students in the foreign countries should be treated fairly without any kind of discrimination. But if it is proved that Indians are being harassed deliberately then it is obvious that the foreigners on Indian land would bear the brunt of ill treatment. So before there is the explosion of any kind of racism, Indian students should always take the right path keeping the destination in view. The foreign governments should also be watchful that the innocent Indian students are not made the scapegoats for the notoriety of others.
