A suspected Indian Mujahideen terrorist was arrested on Monday in Uttar Pradesh's Sitapur for motivating youths to become members of the outlawed terror group, Delhi Police said.

Shakeel was arrested near from Sitapur, adjoining Lucknow, by a team of the Special Cell, said a senior police official.

"This is the fourth arrest of an Indian Mujahideen terrorist by Delhi Police this year, including of Shakeel, who is said to be a close relative of Bashir, a suspected terrorist already arrested," said the official.

In November last year, Delhi Police had arrested six Indian Mujahideen terrorists from across the country.

On March 26, police had arrested Assadullah Rehman alias Dilkash (20), hailing from Darbhanga in Bihar, in east Delhi's Karawal Nagar.

In February, police also arrested Mohammad Tarique Anjuman, one of the founder-members of Indian Mujahideen, from Patna and Talha Abdali alias Israr from Barabanki in Uttar Pradesh.
