A wake up call

Your editorial on Indian judiciary (TSI, Sept14-20) was an eye opener for those sitting on the helm of affairs of Law Ministry. The time has come to impose work emergency in our judicial courts and 24X7 working days culture, comprising day and night shifts. All the vacations for the judicial staff, including chief justices and their protocol visits to various states to enjoy holidays, should be banned for a period of two years till the work of judicial courts is streamlined. The present working culture of Indian judicial system i.e. drag and delay is deplorable and it is for this reason only that the common man fears to step into the premises of any court of law to seek justice as he know that he will not get justice in time. The government on its part should appoint more judges and judicial staff and link all the courts through Internet for timely and speedy disposal of cases.
