S African honour for ela Gandhi

Ela Gandhi, the granddaughter of Mahatma Gandhi was honoured with Amadelkufa (meaning sacrifice in Zulu language) in South Africa for her lifetime contribution to the freedom struggle. Two other Indians Sunny Singh and Mac Maharaj were also honoured for their role in the Umkhonto we Sizwe – the armed struggle wing of the African National Congress. Gandhi, has been a member of the South African Parliament from 1994-2004.
