Noida: Man dies in accident, kin assault doctors

Relatives of a man, who reportedly died in a road accident, assaulted some doctors of district hospital here and ransacked the facility alleging that the youth was murdered and the post mortem on his body was performed without informing them.

Doctors of Bhimrao Ambedkar Super Speciality Research hospital went on strike after the assault on Tuesday, however, they joined their duties on Wednesday after hospital management assured them of action, sources said.

Virendra Kumar (24), a Delhi resident along with Khusboo (22) were brought to the hospital last night.

Virendar was declared brought dead and Khusboo, who suffered injuries was admitted there, said Superintendent Of Police Anant Kumar.

Doctors sent the body to mortuary as unknown as it could not be identified till then, Kumar said.

Later, family members of the deceased reached and assaulted the injured girl's relatives, police said.

When the doctors tried to intervene they too were assaulted.

Kin of the youth claimed that the girl's family did not approve her relation with the youth, and he was murdered by them and the whole incident was given a form of accident, police said.

Police have detained three persons for interrogation.
