The Indian Air Force (IAF) has not encountered any faulty Chinese spare parts and equipment in military aircraft made in the US, Defence Minister A.K. Antony said Monday.

"While the government is aware of media reports regarding possible usage of Chinese counterfeit electronic parts in military aircraft manufactured in the US, no P81 aircraft has so far been delivered to India," he said.

The minister added in a written statement that in the last four years of operation of American military equipment, including C-130 J30 transport aircraft, IAF had not encountered any faulty spares and equipment.

He said it had been confrimed from Boeing that no counterfeit part had been installed on the aircraft to be supplied to India.

"Besides, the IAF has acquired a list of suppliers from the US with respect to aircraft procured from the US, and none of the suppliers are found to be Chinese manufactures," he said.
