Drone Divides Pakistan

The false report on the civilian casualty in Drone strike has taken Pakistan by storm. A recent report given by Pakistan government suggested that the collateral damage in Drone strikes in the tribal areas was very low and less than 100 civilians have died in the five years campaign. This report was released merely days after an international newspaper released documents suggesting that in spite of its public opposition, it was Pakistan government that provided intelligence on the attacks and were rather enthusiastic about the campaign contrary to the popular belief.Now Pakistani opposition member of parliaments have decided to hold a parallel session outside the parliament in protest against government’s underreporting of civilian casualty figures.
