Immigration agency World Wide Immigration Consultancy Services (WWICS) on Monday made a foray into the realty sector, with the announcement a Rs 120-crore residential housing project to be set up at Mohali in Punjab.
"We are now going to enter the real estate sector and our aim will be to provide affordable houses particularly in Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Haryana," WWICS Group Chairman B S Sandhu said on Monday.
WWICS Estates, which will take care of real estate projects, will initially come up with a housing project in Mohali.
"The project called Imperial Heights will provide urban living at most affordable rates keeping in view the growing demand for housing," he said.
The company has proposed to spend Rs 120 crore on this housing project and promoters will fund the entire residential project. "We are not taking any finance from banks for funding this (Mohali) project," he said.
Spread over six acres of land, the project will offer 3 BHK (1,840 square feet and 1,737 per square feet) and 2 BHK (1,159 square feet) apartments with launch price of Rs 2,650 per square feet. "Our offer price is Rs 600-800 per square feet lower than the prevailing rate," he asserted.
The company intends to complete the project within 30 months.
