Women upliftment

Thank you for your editorial on Women’s Reservation Bill, (TSI, March 15-21). We have been debating on this issue for ages. I think just the Bill won't solve the problems of women. As you pointed out, women are not given the same status as men in the army and the paramilitary forces. The mindset has to be changed. In the administrative services women have been doing a wonderful job. But there are problems too. Every woman officer is not Rupan Deol Bajaj. They face lot of problems at their workplace. More influx of women will uplift the moral of the weaker sex. India can only develop if the women are more active in the development of the country.
