In Deepa Mehta’s Heaven On Earth, Preity plays the role of a physically and psychologically assaulted Punjabi wife, for which she took a crash course in Punjabi, read books, and saw a documentary to gain an insight into domestic violence. And her efforts have paid off – Deepa has said that Preity is the best actress she's ever worked with! Controversy’s child!

Starsky & Hutch co-stars Owen Wilson and Ben Stiller have been friends through all the crappy phases of each other's lives.
