The All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) has maintained that it will support UPA government at the Centre but will continue their anti-Congress and anti-BJP stand in the state.
The party MLA Hafiz Basir Ahmed told TSI, “Our stand against Congress and BJP will remain same in the state. But in the centre as there is no other option beside NDA and UPA, we will support UPA. Because we will never support BJP led NDA.’’
Though the party MLA and leader of the opposition Sirajuddin Azmol said a few days back that there was no permanent friend and enemy in politics so everything might change now, the party again continues to follow their old ideology of standing against Congress.
The party was compelled to change their attitude of merging with Congress after the open declaration of Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi that Congress will never join hands with AIUDF.
A reliable source of the party confirmed a few days back about the participation of their party president Badaruddin Azmol at the campaign in Uttar Pradesh assembly election on behalf of Congress. However, the party MLA Hafiz Basir Ahmed on Tuesday said, “Our party president will come tomorrow then only we will be able to confirm about his participation.”
