Why not azadi for kashmir?

 

 

The cover story on 'Why not azaadi for Kashmir?' is very illuminating and enlightening for it attempts to dissect the problem to its core. But there is one caveat that the Kashmir problem is not simple but it is too complex and complicated. Infact, Kashmiris need azaadi for themselves in one more context. It no way can be a viable state, and if Pakistan incorporates and integrates with itself, it would become a happy ground for all sorts of jihadists, foreign and indigenous, which would target India unremittingly. So in hope of getting rid of perpetual Kashmir problem we would be fighting on full cylinder jihadists of all hue and ilk. Do we really want that? Then the very ground on which India was partitioned would get another life and rebirth. The status of Indian Muslims would be looked afresh. Kashmir problem had gone out of hand because the Government of India and political leaders of all persuasion had played politics without looking to national interests. The country needs azaadi from the crooked politicians so that Muslims of Kashmir and Hindus of Jammu and all other religious minorities could live in amity and harmony. Coexistence is the need of the hour.
