Who should be first to throw stone!

“Let anyone among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at him or her.”

“Let anyone among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at him or her.”

On February 3, Supreme Court quashed the appointment of PJ Thomas as Central Vigilance Commissioner. It said that the recommendation made by high-powered committee headed by the Prime Minister did not consider the relevant material. The Supreme Court has given its judgment and it must be accepted without any argument.

But here is a question of tainted politicians who are making noises on the issue of tainted officers instead of examining themselves. On moral grounds they should not remain on any of the post in this country. Lal Krishna Advani is crying foul in CVC case and the BJP is demanding resignations of the Prime Minister and Sonia Gandhi on the issue of CVC appointment. P J Thomas is also an accused in Palmolene import case and yet he is not convicted in this case. If we consider the stand of politicians about the tainted image than Thomas is also have the rights to have any post in this country until he is not convicted in that particular case.

Advani is a prime accused in Babri demolition case and the very next day of the CVC judgment by the Supreme Court, he was sent notices. Even when the case was proceeding in Allahabad High Court, Advani was the Deputy Prime Minister of this country which is also an important constitutional post. But he never thought of morality and never quit his post or politics. Why only Mr. Advani? Most of the leaders are facing judicial proceedings against them but nobody thought of moral grounds and are still enjoying the perks of the various posts.

If CVC Thomas is tainted and accused in one case, and if he does not have moral right to stay as CVC then every leader who faces allegations in any case should be refrained from getting any post in this country. Here Laloo Prasad can be a Central Minister without any opposition instead of having corruption charges in fodder scam. Mayavati can be a Chief Minister of the largest state of this country instead of having corruption charges in Taj Corridor case. Most of the leaders, who are opposing CVC Thomas, are facing CBI inquiry. But no, they are not tainted! They can do any thing. They can save themselves by saying it a political vendetta. Law should remain the same for everyone and morality should be practiced in reality instead of making a show of it.
