After the brutal murder of Sonia De and death of rival eunuch group leader Sanju masi, Ahmedabad is witnessing gang wars between different eunuch groups which are trying to press their dominance in city for various purposes including money collection turfs. After the death of two rival eunuch leaders various groups of eunuchs are attacking each other. “Boni” (money collected by eunuchs on different occasions from people) is the main reason behind this gang war.
A fight erupted between Bhavna De and Nitu De groups near Vastrapur lake of Ahmedabad city on Thursday. They attacked each other and cut off hairs of Komal De of Bhavna De group. A police complaint lodged against Nitu De and 11 others in the matter.
On 24th November 2011, eunuch leader Sonia De was brutally murdered near Rupali cinema of Ahmedabad in broad day light. Police alleges that the murder was planned by rival Sanjumasi gang. Sanjumasi who was also under treatment for burn injuries at that time succumbed to death after one month of Sonia De’s murder. After exit of two main eunuch leaders, now Bhavna de and Nitu De groups are clashing with each other for area dominance. Since last one and half months many police complaints have been lodged from both groups for attacking each other.
Eunuchs from Bhavna De group allege that Nitu De was suspended from their society 4 years ago. After death of Sonia De, she is claiming the posh areas of Ahmedabad as these areas are big source of ‘Boni’ Money.
There are more than 800 eunuchs in Ahmedabad city and they earn big money as their ‘Bakshish’ on festivals and different occasions of joy. This Big ‘Boni’ Money is the main reason behind this gang war. War of dominance has seen the death of two high profile eunuch leaders in last two months.
