Union Minister for Food Processing Harish Rawat is gearing up for Uttrakhand Assembly elections. Speaking exclusively with persons from Urdu Media at his residence he welcomed the Cabinet decision to exempt Madrasas and Pathshalas from the Right to Education (RTE).
He said “After detailed discussion with various groups and understanding the syllabus of the Madrasas this decision was taken”. He also gave the hint that very soon the decision to grant 4 per cent reservation for Muslims will be taken.
Criticizing Togadia and Ashok Singhal he said “they are forces of hatred and the Hindu society does not take them seriously anymore. The biggest challenge for me is to develop Muslim leadership in Uttrakhand. I have taken several steps to bring Muslims and Hindus closer”.
