In a report that basically confirms what experts and journalists had been saying for quite some time now, Turkey has supplied over 47 tons of weaponry to the militants and terrorists active inside Syria since June. This was revealed in a report released by UN Commodity Trade Statistics Database (UN Comtrade). Although there is no corresponding figure for last three years, but it is expected that this 47 tons would be far less compared to what Turkey has sent since the starting of unrest. The report further reveals that a huge chunk of it was supplied in September alone when Turkey supported Free Syrian Army started losing grounds to al-Qaeda affiliated Jabhat al-Nusra Front and others. Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman Levent Gumrukcu confirmed the report after initially rejecting it.
