Two Bengal boys selected for Celtic FC coaching

It’s a celebration time for the Pandua Sashi Bhusan Saha High School, 71 kilometers away from Kolkata, as two of its students have been selected for 10-day training camp at the Celtic Football Club in Scotland.

Mid-fielder Premananda Singha and striker Mangal Murmu, both belonging to poor adivasi families, will be trained by Celtic FC experts at a special training camp in Scotland.

“They may not get adequate food or proper education, but their determination has paid. I wish them to see as successful footballers of India in future,” said a school teacher.

These students were selected during the second edition of the Mahindra Youth Football Challenge (MYFC) held at Bangalore Football Stadium between April 25-27.

Schools from six Indian cities participated in the Under 14  MYFC tournament.

Earlier, ten students of the same school got 3-day training from experts of Celtic Football Club, Glasgow.

Mukesh Kumar of CRPF School, Delhi will also get the training as the third selected boy from India.

During their stay in Glasgow, the three students will be enjoying all the facilities available to the junior players of the club.
