TURKEY IN BOSTON!

 

 

Özbekler Tekke in Turkey has served as a platform for seven generations of the masters of paper marbling and as a stage for learning Sufi music, especially the devotional ilahis (songs). Replicating the many aspects of these traditions at the Museum of Fine Arts at Boston, would be the exhibition Marbling and Music: Performing Sufism at a Turkish Tekke, which is set to heighten the interest of all connoisseurs of Turkish music and art. More than the performances, the programme is also an educational forum... an entertaining one! (till 25 April)
