Theatre lovers gear up for World Theatre Day

The time has come for the Theatre lovers once again to entertain them with the spirit of art. Each and every theatre group is gearing up to celebrate the World Theatre day on March 27 with different stage plays to make this special day a memorable one.

To entertain the audience is not everyone's cup of tea and that too when you are on a stage play. Theatre plays are to be expressed in such a manner which reflects the feeling and the meaning of the theme.

Most of the Bollywood stars have experienced theatre in order to polish their art skills. Theatre is a realistic place added with much more creative art but unfortunately it gets a very little recognition in comparison to films. However, some Bollywood stars like Poonam Dhillon, Rati Agnihotri, Anupam Kher also love to work in theatre plays.

Durgesh, ex-student of National School of Drama says, "Theatre is a mix of art and with the live performances, the theatre plays become much more challenging as there are no re-takes. This is not the route to Bollywood as many theatre pass outs who doesn't got entry into the Bollywood industry."

"Theatre is a preparation to polish you with a much more dedicated field of acting involved in it. Many NSD pass outs do get a chance to enter the Bollywood but of course it all depends on how you present your skills in front of the audience." says Pradeep, ex student of National School of Drama.

Sharing the same views, Gurinder, who is the 2nd year student of NSD, says: "Theatre is a work of art and the art how to connect you with the audience. However, it is not necessary that every person who does theatre wants to go into films. Theatre is a big thing in itself."
