BROTHERS IN LOSS
India and Pakistan have shown brotherhood by leaving the World Cup so soon. However, everyone concerned with cricket management in Pakistan volunteered to own responsibility by resigning from their posts for the shameful performance of their team. But India has a tradition of shamelessly sticking to their posts. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has become a battleground for politicians. Politics in cricket should be done away with by setting up a new board and district cricket associations with modified constitutions, where former cricketers and cricket experts may find a place. The one-man one-post principle should be followed for all. The BCCI president, coach, captain and chairperson of selection committee should all be sacked. There should be a ban on the Central or State government wasting hard-earned public resources on giving prime land, cash awards or other costly benefits to cricketers for their performances like when the Jharkhand government showered Mahendra Singh Dhoni with Rs 5 lakh cash award and a plot of land in Ranchi. Such practices have spoilt our team.

SEARCHING FOR WORDS
Your vision about the undemocratic Marxist government led by Buddhadeb is brilliant. Congratulations to all brave soldiers and the enemies of Marxists in Singur, Nandigram, etc. Yes, it is lawful to gain control over a place in a sovereign country even if we have to take up arms (without licence), explosives and driving away the opposition after massacring their shelter, only if it happens in a State governed by the Leftist CPI(M). You should compile a dictionary with new words to explain the deadly Marxists especially because ‘Hitlerian’, ‘Stalinist’, ‘Heinous’, ‘Atrocious’, etc. are very soft and far below the standard of atrocities to describe the ugly Buddhadeb Bhattacharya.

HITLER’S RULE
Arindam Chaudhuri’s column on the Nandigram killings was enlightening. Imagine our Central government and the Supreme Court sitting like the blind and the deaf. They haven’t taken action against the dictators of Bengal. Buddhadeb and his team should be fired in public. Also, a proper CBI investigation should be held and the report must be transparent and published. The guilty should be punished severely. We don’t want Bengal to become a Hitlerian State.
