The warmth of yesteryears “It’s with me from the time I can remember and it remains my most cherished possession till date… A very thin flimsy blanket. One that has been mine, since I was no more than a baby on all fours. It’s a linen throw, white in colour with prints and it has a very silky feel… Nothing out of the ordinary, but there is this inexplicable attachment I’ve developed for it. Needless to mention, apart from the sense of warmth and security that it provides, there are some very precious memories that lie enclosed in its folds. I’m so weirdly in love with it that I recall that blanket to be perhaps the only thing that I took with me from the house of my parents after my marriage! I treasure it with utmost care and use it to date! I am as possessive as a three year-old when it comes to sharing it… Would you believe if I told you that I don’t share it with anyone, not even my own kid! It’s can’t protect one from the bitter cold, but it is certainly one that warms my heart no end!
