The sound of music

 

 

In a matter of time, even the deaf may roam around with walkmans, thanks to the ingenious work of scientists in the US. Upon testing on cats, they discovered that by modifying the design of ‘bionic ear’ implants, through electric signals, certain tones could even become audible to the deaf. While this may help improve the quality of sound and further aid in speech, it is able to recognize only basic tones. But that does not stop it from being a ‘sound’ device!
