The Hour of the Flower A ll of us know that looking at countless flowerbeds and smelling the blossoms have therapeutic value. Imagine being in a valley of flowers, or quite simply step into the state of Sikkim, for it is known for its heavenly flora and is playing host to The International Flower Festival nowadays. At the very mention of another exhibition of flowers, one might get a been-there-done-that feeling, but 240 species of trees and ferns, 150 varieties of gladioli, 46 types of rhododendrons are not really a spectacle commonplace. The main exhibits are native to Sikkim, like those mentioned. Adding to the experience is the food festival, river rafting and yak safaris. If you want rainbows at your feet, you know where to be! (Held from March to end of May)
