The fear factor

 

 

Like little children many animals too experience fear. And they respond to the emotion in a variety of ways. Doves, for example, are known to freeze when attacked by a cat, a response dictated by fear. But researchers are discovering many more fascinating facts associated with fear psychosis. The fear of being eaten, for one, is enough to scare some frogs right out of their eggs! This discovery was made by scientists studying tropical red-eyed tree frogs in Costa Rica.
