Exactly how the Egyptians were able to build the massive pyramids isn’t very clear to this day. The subject is surrounded in controversies and speculations and squabbling scientists. Some have even gone as far as to suggest that somehow aliens were involved in the construction of these iconic structures. But, Donald Redford, Professor of Classics and Ancient Mediterranean studies, claims to have solved the riddle. According to him, it would have taken about 20,000 to 30,000 labourers a period of 20 odd years to complete the job. And as most Pharaohs were known to commission their Pyramids (which were also their burial sites!) as soon as they ascended the throne, that leaves enough time for most to complete the job.
