Lime has been proven to be very effective in fighting common cold and an ideal remedy for dry cough and cold is lime juice diluted by warm water with some honey added to it. Another good natural remedy is garlic and having it in the form of soup is usually effective in fighting common cold. While having ginger tea is a good option, cutting ginger into small pieces and boiling it in water and drinking the strained liquid hot with some sugar is also beneficial.

Same amount of ginger and equal amount of tulsi seeds can be mixed thoroughly and having this mixture multiple times a day is usually very effective in fighting common cold. Having a hot bath can give relief from congestions and nothing beats taking steam as it opens up the nasal tracts. Those who are not aversive to drinking milk can add some roasted asafetida to a glass of warm milk and have several times in a day to fight common cold.

Another good option can be prepared by mixing black pepper in curd and then adding some jaggery in the mixture. Having this concoction twice a day can give some relief from common cold. With these easy tips in mind, you too can put up a fight against common cold and enjoy the monsoon.
